About Optionpath

Landscape
photography,
taught properly.

Since 2021, Optionpath has brought together photographers who take the craft seriously — and instructors who do too.

What this platform is actually for

Optionpath exists for photographers who have moved past the basics and want to understand why an image works — not just how to replicate a look they found online. The focus is landscape photography: light, terrain, timing, and the decisions made before the shutter is pressed.

Every masterclass is built around specific conditions — fog over coastal rock, alpine light in July, long exposures on moving water. Instructors demonstrate their own process, including the moments where things do not go as planned. That is usually where the useful information lives.

The platform is international. Participants join from across North America, Europe, and beyond. Sessions are recorded with full resolution examples and downloadable reference files. There is no subscription tier that unlocks the good content — everything is available to enrolled participants.

The person behind the curriculum

Renata Voss

Renata has spent over a decade photographing landscapes across four continents, with published work in editorial and fine art contexts. She built the Optionpath curriculum around a single observation: most photography instruction teaches settings, not decisions. Her modules focus on the reasoning behind each shot — what was rejected before the frame was chosen, and why.

She reviews participant submissions personally and responds with written notes rather than scores. It takes longer. It is also more useful.
